For the project cover, you can use a screenshot, render and a draft renders you've made.

After you've made a perfect render (or a screenshot) of your project, open Settings of that project and pick the render you like the most. The thumbnail will immediately switch to the cover you've chosen. Hit Save to confirm changes.
